Abbaye de Bon Repos - Central Brittany, France - 2022

Abbaye de Bon Repos is a cistercian abbey at Saint-Gelven in central Brittany France. It is alongside part of the Nantes-Brest canal.

Each summer the Sound and Light show (Son et Lumiere) takes place in this open-air theatre, showing the history of central Brittany (le Pays de Conomor).

Next events are:  3rd, 5th, 6th, 10th, 12th and 13th August 2022

Other attractions nearby are an 18th/19th century iron village "Les Forges des Salles"  set in the Quenecan forest, Guerledan lake (water-sports / sunbathing / off-road cycle tracks / 3 beaches), Electricity Museum (Musee de Electricite) at Saint-Aignan with details of the construction of the Guerledan dam.
