The opening ceremony for the Olympic Games will be held in the heart of the city of Paris on 26 July 2024. A fleet of boats will parade along 6kms of the river Seine with delegates and performers in the ceremony among the passengers. The start is Austerlitz Bridge beside the Jardin des Plantes, the route then passes Ile Saint-Louis and Ile de la Cite before the finish at the Trocadero Iena Bridge.
